• To authenticate your account and enable login.
• To send verification codes for account registration and password resets.
• To fetch vocabulary words from your linked Google Spreadsheet.
• To track and display your learning progress.

Your data is stored in a secure database. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.

• Google Sheets - to read vocabulary data from your linked spreadsheet. We only read publicly shared spreadsheet data.
• OpenAI API - to generate quiz questions and evaluate your sentence responses. Your vocabulary words and sentences are sent to OpenAI for processing.
• Email (SMTP) - to send verification codes to your email address.

6. Data Retention
